Intellitronix Files Patent on Weapons Detection Robot

EASTLAKE, Ohio, June 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Intellitronix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US Lighting Group (OTC:USLG), today announced that it has filed a patent for a weapons detecting robot utilizing the Promobot LLC robot.“Intellitronix sees weapons detection as a growing market, especially in schools,” said Intellitronix CEO, Paul Spivak. “As a father, I cannot do enough to make schools a safe environment for children and as a Company, Intellitronix is advancing that effort through our software collaboration efforts that utilizes the Promobot LLCs robot which our company holds the exclusive marketing rights in the United States.”

According to a CNN news article, the US has had 57 times as many school shootings as the other major industrialized nations combined.  Since 2009, there has been 288 school shooting in the U.S.  So far this year, there has been an average of one shooting per week and while gun control advocates say curbing firearms ownership will help, Intellitronix believes weapons detection is at the forefront of curbing shootings – both in schools as well as other commercial applications.

Promobot currently does promotions and sales. It uses artificial intelligence to determine differences between men and women, age range, and has the capability of facial recognition up to 5,000 people. Its responses are customizable as well. Based on the current success of Promobot’s features, Intellitronix is now working on pattern recognition and inferred scanning technology to help its weapon detection endeavor.

What would you be willing to give up in order to keep your smartphone privileges for a week?

A lot of consumers say they would be willing to temporarily stop using household items or give up their favorite pastimes; some are apparently willing to adopt questionable hygiene standards. 

As it turns out, 41% of millennials ages 18 to 34 said they would be willing to quit shampooing for a week if it meant keeping their phone for that same period of time, according to a survey conducted by app-based phone service Visible. All 1,180 respondents owned a cell phone and were split almost evenly by gender using the census' breakdown. 

Entertaining as it might be, this statistic brings to mind the conversation surrounding smartphone addiction that has been consuming various companies, adults, and teens. While some argue that it's on the product and platform creators to help control our dependence on mobile devices, others say it's our own responsibility — and a good first step is knowing where you stand. 

In the survey, a similar number of respondents (54%) said they would be willing to give up movies and TV for a month, while 28% said they would be willing to give up their pet for the week, 23% chose their phone over caffeine, and a small 17% took the 'take my toothbrush but not my cell phone' approach. 

Given the capabilities of today's smartphones, it doesn't come as a huge surprise that consumers would be willing to prioritize them more than they did a decade ago. But these results — particularly the ones about habits we're taught are crucial from an early age — are an interesting look at just how a generation that has lived with smartphones for all or most of their adult life sees their mobile devices as necessity over luxury.

Davis joined AMC in 2005 and has steadily risen through its programming group as a result of his work with creators on a broad array of shows that continue to define the network, including “The Walking Dead,” “Fear the Walking Dead,” “The Terror,” “Preacher,” “Better Call Saul,” “Halt and Catch Fire” and the upcoming series ‘NOS4A2.”

Benefited by the 6-core/12-thread configuration of Intel® 8th Generation Core™ processor, Nuvo-7000 series delivers up to 50% computational performance gains over previous generation platform. Nuvo-7000 series features multiple Neousys patented add-on technology options such as Cassette module, MezIO™ interface and supercapacitor-base power-backup solution for extra functionalities. Users can install off-the-shelf PCIe and PCI add-on card(s) into the expansion Cassette; select MezIO™ module for extra functions such as DIO, RS-232/ 422/ 485, GbE, USB3 or ignition power control; it is also compatible with PB-2500J, Neousys’ patented supercapacitor-based power-backup solution. “With the system being immune to severe environmental conditions, such as high/low temperature and ESD/surge, the addition of PB-2500J further allows Nuvo-7000 systems to handle power fluctuation and unforeseen power outages. Nuvo-7000 series inherits its’ predecessor’s superior thermal reliability, capable of operating from as low as -25°C (cold boot) to +70°C (100% loading) and it also comes with a dependable power design allowing DC power input from 8 to 35 VDC. Several models are available depending on user preference, including Nuvo-7000E (single PCIe card accommodation), Nuvo-7000P (single PCI card accommodation), Nuvo-7000DE (dual PCIe cards accommodation) and Nuvo-7000LP (low-profile chassis with hot-swappable 2.5” drive bay). A new survey reveals almost 80% of millennials would rather lose the ability to make phone calls completely if it meant getting unlimited data **

· *Millennials know what they want out of their phone, and it has nothing to do with making traditional calls.*
· *A majority of the 1,180 millennials and Generation-Z respondents surveyed said they would rather have unlimited data and give up calling altogether than the other way around. *
· *There are a number of alternative communication methods users would have to pay to use if they chose the latter, and most people — particularly younger generations — hardly make the calls to justify needing unlimited minutes.  *

Phone calls could be a thing of the past, if millennials had their way.

While it isn't a lost communication method for everyone, younger generations see it as a dispensable feature, and view data as non-negotiable: a smartphone without a phone still has countless purposes, after all, while a smartphone without data is just a phone.

And given the option between no calling and no data, 78% of millennials (ages 18 to 34) said they would prefer to sign up for a phone plan with no calling and unlimited data over a plan with no data and unlimited calling, according to a survey conducted by app-based phone service Visible.

The trend is a product of stronger networks and their ability to seamlessly support other methods of communication like messaging and video calls without a hitch, negating the need for a calling feature altogether. Another large factor at play is social media, which not only requires data but is now accessed almost entirely via mobile — some of the newer platforms like Instagram and Snapchat aren't even built out completely for desktop. 

But it isn't always about keeping in touch: About a third of respondents said they download new apps about once a month and 12% said they download new apps weekly. Most respondents were also well-aware that Netflix and Spotify were partially to blame for their data use; probably why 74% said they would opt for a flat rate plan rather than pay for what they actually use.

Most of the millennials and Generation Z (ages 18 to 22) participants surveyed claimed to be fairly knowledgeable about their cell phone plan, and it looks like they know what they're looking for in the fine print: data, data, and more data.
